The Group is focussing on the upcoming Ratite Symposium in South Korea held in conjunction with the 10th Asia Pacific Poultry Conference. Following acceptance of abstracts the RS program will be announced on the APPC website  and RS participants will be notified via email. The key papers will be delivered by Prof Schalk Cloete from the Department of Agriculture Western Cape (South Africa) on "Application of quantitative genetics and selective breeding to farming of ratites", and by Prof Fred Leung from the University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong) on "The use of NGS technology in ratite research".
